📖 The 10x Method: New chapters
Four new chapters of Hexa’s sold-out book are now live, one dropping every week.
II. Finding & validating the idea — A startup idea is a framework: problem, solution, and GTM strategy. This chapter breaks down the three categories of startup ideas, why every great startup has to innovate on at least one dimension, and the validation process Hexa uses before writing a single line of code — including our ideas that didn’t make the cut and exactly why. → Read the chapter
III. Choosing your cofounder — After matching 100+ founders, we’ve identified the three ingredients that make or break a cofounder relationship: complementary skills, alignment on five non-negotiables, and radical transparency from day one. The chapter covers how to run the search like a sales funnel, what questions to ask, and why you should bring in a coach before things go wrong, not after. → Read the chapter
IV. Building your MVP — The biggest mistake founders make isn’t building the wrong thing — it’s building too much, too soon. This chapter covers how to scope ruthlessly, why your designs should be super basic, and how to work with design partners to get real feedback instead of theoretical reactions. → Read the chapter
V. Hiring early talent — Founders should spend 30-40% of their time on recruiting in the early days. This chapter covers who to hire first (engineers, then a founder associate — not a PM), how to run scorecards from day one, structure equity, and know when — and how — to part ways. → Read the chapter
🤏 How going narrow landed Yoobic €100K contracts
It can be tempting to cast a wide net to find customers. Fabrice did the opposite, narrowing until Yoobic was the obvious choice for fashion retail chains managing deskless workers across hundreds of stores. Hexa Partner Mat Vaxelaire sits down with the Yoobic cofounder in the latest episode of PMF Collector to break down the methodology behind it: validating only through paying customers, proving ROI before asking for budget, and why almost nothing from the European playbook transferred when they expanded to the US.
🔧 How to scale from basic RAG to 200+ e-commerce sites
Louis Pinsard built Dialog, an AI shopping assistant now live across 200+ ecommerce stores, starting with a LangChain tutorial in production. Scaling meant solving problems no tutorial covers: catalogs that break your retrieval, queries too vague to search with, and six months of iterating by gut feel before building a proper evaluation system. In this Build with AI episode, Hexa Product Lead Pierre sits down with the CTO to go through every layer of the evolution and what he’d do differently from day one.
Portfolio news
🏥 Parallel (HX24) secures $20M to make hospitals more efficient with AI
Paul Lafforgue, Chris Rydahl and the Parallel team just closed a $20M Series A led by Index Ventures, with Frst, Y Combinator, and angels. Their AI agents already live across several dozen public and private hospitals in France, automating the administrative workflows that eat up to 30% of healthcare spending. What makes Parallel’s approach distinctive is speed: their agents run directly on top of existing hospital software, no lengthy integrations, live in as little as a week. Very proud of the team! 🔐 Hodor joins Hexa Sprint to secure AI agents
Karim Boussetta and Timothé Husson Bromberg founded Hodor after spotting a gap that’s only getting bigger: companies are plugging AI agents into everything, but nobody is controlling what they’re actually allowed to do. A misconfigured agent can give 90% discounts to everyone, send seven follow-ups per hour, or expose millions of records before anyone notices. Hodor is the identity and policy layer that prevents exactly that, joining Hexa Sprint’s AI for Work vertical led by Thibaud Elzière. Learn more.
